Written by an experienced researcher and successful teacher, this book aims at teaching the concepts and logic of Statistics to college students. It may be used as a textbook in classes for the non mathematically minded, or, ideally, as a companion to typical Statistics textbooks.

This is not technically a statistics textbook but exactly what it promises: a collection of instructor's notes on statistics from the time the author was an active college professor. The value of teaching notes is that they include the information to be taught and attempts to explain the information and basic concepts and let students have fun with Statistics. It is scary but sadly true that even advanced researchers are in need of such a basic level book on Statistics, but I think its intended beneficiary is primarily the undergraduate student. Start with this even as bedtime reading, then move on to your introductory statistics textbook. As younger generations are increasingly and alarmingly aversed to Math and Statistics, it is good to see the author trying to reverse that trend.Product details

Statistics for College Students and Researchers edition by Michael M Nikoletseas PhD Health Fitness Dieting eBooks Reviews
I am really impressed by how this book explains the essence of statistics in a really novel way. I strongly recommend it.
I am impressed. This is a statistics book different form the others. It explains what statistics are really all about and what do they mean. I was curious to see how five formulas could suffice to explain it all, but it did! This is an ideal book for beginners and I strongly recommend it.
This book explains statistics in a very simple way that anyone could understand without having a background in statistics. Useful tool for scientists that apply stats without being statisticians themselves. Very pleased with this book, I would highly recommend it.
I've been using stats for many years now, and I had always been overwhelmed by the theory and formulas involved. This book finally explains statistics in a way that even high school students can understand. Or, for that matter, scientists that apply stats without being statisticians themselves. Basic concepts are explained in a very simple manner, which makes even more complicated concepts intuitive to understand. Full of interesting (and amusing) examples. In short, I find it an excellent introductory statistics book, for anyone who wants to apply statistics, or at least understand the statistics we hear in everyday life.
If you have ever read Zar's statistics book, Nikoletseas' textbook is nothing like it! This textbook offers an intuitive understanding of basic statistical concepts without the mind-boggling folmulas and incomprehensible lingo. A must-have for all those interested in mastering the essence of applied statistics.
